Why physical health is so much more important to us compare to psychological health?

Why people care about physical wounds, but they don’t care about psychological wounds?

Psychological wounds exist; they hurt as the physical ones and they need to be treated and handled with the same importance.

Loneliness, failure, rejection.

They could be awful wounds in our mind that might also affect our health. We all know how painful they are.

Research shows that chronic loneliness makes people miserable and could also kill them. Loneliness increases the likelihood of early death; it causes high blood pressure and suppresses the functioning of our immune system.

Failure and rejection can be really hurting. It is not easy to find an explanation and a meaning when they happened. They can influence our self-esteem and as a consequence our mental and physical health.

As physical wounds can be treated, the same is for psychological wounds. People can take action and change, and treat their wounds.

People can learn and grow from their wounds.

We should all take care of our minds, our feelings and emotions.

Our psychological health is as important as our physical health.
